The 25th anniversary edition of Ontario Travel Guides’ “Trent-Severn Boating and Road Guide” is now at the printer! This special edition will mark the 175th anniversary of construction of the first lock on the waterway in Bobgaygeon in 1833 with a 20-page feature detailing events surrounding this outstanding historical achievement in the backwoods of Upper Canada. In a unique marketing agreement with Parks Canada, responsible for managing this national historic canal system, OTG will also provide several hundred guides to be distributed to various school libraries in communities along the waterway as an educational resource for students. The new Trent-Severn Boating and Road Guide edition will also include for the first time---a free “Locking Through Safely” DVD produced for Parks Canada which will be beneficial to boaters cruising the Trent-Severn…and any other canal for that matter! Advance orders for the new Trent-Severn Waterway Boating and Road Guide can be made by calling 1-800-324-6052 or going to www.ontariotravelguides.com.
