Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites. Most of the money raised through these fees remains in the particular park or site where it is collected. This means, that every time you visit a park or site you are investing in its future - and in a legacy for future generations.

May 16-June 19:

Monday to Thursday   9:00am-4:00pm

Friday to Sunday     Daily Opening - 9:00am   Last Lockage - 7:00pm

Victoria Day  Daily Opening - 9:00am   Last Lockage - 7:00pm

June 20-Sept. 1   Daily Opening - 8:30am   Last Lockage - 7:00pm

 

Labour Day - Mid-October:

Monday to Friday Daily Opening - 9:00am   Last Lockage - 3:30pm

Saturday and Sunday Daily Opening - 9:00am   Last Lockage - 5:30pm

Thanksgiving Day Daily Opening - 9:00am   Last Lockage - 5:30pm

Times of first and last lockages of the day are not guaranteed.

 

Lockage times are also affected by heavy traffic, water management and other lock station duties.

 

Last Bridge Swing occurs ten minutes prior to station closure.

To ensure last lockage arrive 30 minutes before closing per lock chamber at each lockstation. At swing bridges allow 20 minutes.

 

Bridge Clearances: Minimum overhead fixed bridge clearance is 6.7m or 22 feet. Most swing/lift bridges operate on an on-demand schedule. Some areas certain restrictions apply.
