Congratulations to the Rideau Heritage Route Tourism Association, the not for profit destination marketing partnership promoting the Rideau Heritage Route and historic Rideau Canal extending from Kingston to Ottawa.  Last summer the group hosted a number of travel writers wanting to explore and learn more about the vacation opportunities along the historic canal while 175th anniversary celebrations were underway.  Recently prominent photo feature articles appeared in a number of noteworthy travel publications including one as far away as Australia.  With the Rideau being designated a UNESCO world heritage site last June, the RHRTA is now working to brand the Rideau Heritage Route as a World Class Destination!  From the positive travel writers’ reviews it seems association is on the right track.
